Volunteer

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The following are just some of the roles that can be filled by volunteers:

  • If you are a person who has a record of accomplishment in some aspect of life, join the P.O.R.A. Board of Directors. We are particularly interested in people who have business and financial expertise.
  • Teach a skill or craft at a “Positive Options” group.
  • Tutor clients attending G.E.D. or college classes.
  • Perform building maintenance tasks at P.O.R.A..
  • Transport residents to and from their appointments.

Whether you can volunteer a few hours a week or a few hours a month, or even for a one-time project, we can use your assistance. If you can offer a service not mentioned here, ask us about it!

Becoming part of P.O.R.A.’s volunteer network fills people with a sense of accomplishment and pride. Most volunteers say they get much more than they give from the experience
