Part of P.O.R.A’s program is to teach our clients the value of personal responsibility and ethical behavior. Consequently, it is essential that all our staff and volunteers’ conduct and ethical standards are beyond reproach. All P.O.R.A. staff and volunteers agree to abide by the following principles in any function they perform for the organization.

Truth, fairness, and transparency will be characteristics of all our interactions.

We will refrain from spending any of our donations or other funding for any purpose that does not advance the cause of our mission.

We will make timely and full disclosure of our finances and other activities to any donors, funding agencies, or other interested parties.

Each person will submit a conflict of interest statement when they join the organization and annually thereafter.

Each person will report any potential conflict of interest as soon as they become aware of it.

Each person will sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement regarding with the inappropriate release of information.

P.O.R.A. will take a proactive approach in preventing fraud or other unjust enrichment of any staff, volunteers, or any other person or entity.

P.O.R.A. pledges not to take any retaliatory action against any person who reports fraud or other abuse.

Each person will refrain partisan political activity that may give the appearance of representing P.O.R.A.
